Heart Children Ireland's mission is to support the parents and families of children with congenital heart defects and bereaved families of children who have died from congenital heart defects.

Since 1990, Heart Children Ireland's support has included the setting up of local groups, the purchase of medical equipment, financial assistance to families, the funding of specialists posts and special events for the children and their families.
