Our mission is to promote excellence in all aspects of dementia care in Ireland. To this end the Centre aims to promote an awareness of dementia, establish and maintain a database on dementia services in Ireland, provide education and training to practitioners working in the field and conduct and support local and international research and evaluation.

The Centre promotes the sharing of knowledge, skills and experience and its partnerships foster unique collaborations and enable the Centre to act as a conduit through which practitioners can engage with eachother and participate in informed debate.



In this way, Centre assists professionals in statutory or voluntary organisations in Ireland to contribute to the latest thinking and practice in dementia care.
