Centre for Gender, Feminisms and Sexualities (CGFS) and Gender Studies, University College Dublin
Centre for Gender, Feminism and Sexualities (CGFS), University College Dublin which brings together activists, artists and academics, draws on transdisciplinary perspectives in feminism and gender studies with the aim of creating a society based on gender justice and social solidarity.
MA in Gender Studies, UCD: Our MA and Graduate Diploma in Gender Studies, UCD explores current debates on gender and social justice as well as new theoretical perspectives on gender and feminism. Our programme offers students an opportunity to engage with a vibrant international field of study as we seek to interrogate the complexity of gender and sex roles, feminism, identities, policies, history and politics within a rapidly evolving social world. We look at the ways in which gender, social class, ethnicity and disability intersect within a global context of institutional racism, environmental degradation and increasing inequality.
This MA & Graduate Diploma in Gender Studies will appeal to students interested in challenging traditional ways of thinking and knowing. It will equip those who seek to transform gendered relations and achieve social and economic justice across, local and global levels, based on gender equality and social solidarity.
