Irish Deaf.com was created in February 2003 as part of a project for European Year of People with Disabilities. The Directory is currently operated by one person - Stephen Gilligan. This is an independent project not funded by any Deaf group.

This Directory is created to help people find relevant, up to date, easy to access information to members of the Deaf and hard of hearing community. Many organisations including those in Northern Ireland are listed, thereby making this website directory a very handy tool the Deaf community.
