Epilepsy Ireland
Epilepsy Ireland was established in 1966 with the goal of improving the quality of life of people with epilepsy in Ireland. Their vision is to achieve a society where no person’s life is limited by epilepsy, and they work towards that vision by:
- Providing support and information services for people with epilepsy and their families
- Raising awareness of epilepsy across Ireland; a condition which affects over 40,000 people in the country
- Providing training and education programmes about epilepsy in communities across Ireland
- Advocating to policy makers and the highest levels of Government about the issues impacting on people with epilepsy and their families
- Investing in epilepsy research to learn more about the condition
- Raising the necessary funds to support their work and maintaining the best standards in governance, quality, and financial management
Epilepsy Ireland is headquartered in Dublin, with regional offices based in Cork, Meath, Galway, Kerry, Kilkenny, Donegal, Clare, Sligo, and Offaly.
