Community Connections is situated just a mile on the south side of the border and we work in West Fermanagh, North Leitrim and West Cavan. We are funded by the Department of Social Community and Family Affairs under its Community Development Programme (CDP).

There are many strands to our work including:

• An Active Age Project
• A Rural Transport Project (RuraLIFT)
• Action Research and Development work with Carers, Men and Older People
• Supporting Youth Development
• Development work with local Community Groups

We are in an underpopulated rural area with a high level of social isolation and deprivation but a great level of community activity. Our aim is to work creatively and effectively to support local people in improving their quality of life.



We are also at the centre of a number of community and information sharing networks.
