Clare Local Development Company has over 21 years experience of providing a wide range of local development services including training, work placements, grants and advice.

Currently the company employs over 200 people on a wide range of programs and schemes LEADER, SICAP (Social Inclusion and Community Activation Programme) Local Training Initiatives, Rural Social Scheme, Community Employment Scheme and Rural Recreation Project and Tús.

Our Mission – The mission of CLDC is to promote and deliver supports and services for social inclusion, enterprise, rural and community development, both from our own resources and in collaboration with other agencies.

Our Services – We provide a diverse range of supports and services to community and voluntary groups, social inclusion target groups, small businesses, farm families and potential entrepreneurs. Some of our services are available throughout the county, whilst others are limited to specific geographical areas. We collaborate with a wide range of local organisations in the delivery of our services.

Ethos – Our ethos is based on equality, being inclusive and community led. We believe in building the capacity of people and communities to address their own development needs and we work in partnership with other local bodies to deliver the best outcomes for the county.
