Global Action Plan is a national organisation that offers practical support to shape conscious sustainable behaviour. We aim to provide people with the knowledge, skills and values to build and strengthen their communities so they can make a difference in their local areas.

• We are open to working with all communities, particularly marginalised and disadvantaged groups

Our programming

In line with our philosophy, our programmes engage with a variety of communities of place and interest. A snapshot of our current programming includes:

• Action on Global Citizenship offers teachers a way to prompt climate action in their schools by providing training and resources on global citizenship.
• Action on Global Goals engages with community groups to raise awareness and take ownership of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, connecting local action to global impact.
• Food Talks engages with caterers and food distributors to raise awareness of sustainable supply chains, packaging and distribution.
• Park Stewardship brings school groups out to local green spaces, teaching about biodiversity and inculcating a respect for nature and sense of ownership over their local area.
• Water Explorer focuses on the importance of fresh water, teaching school groups about water conservation and maintaining this extremely important ecosystem.
• Our Community Environmental Programme connects with our local community in Ballymun, primarily through Glás, our community garden, where volunteers can work and socialise, learn about growing food and build a connection with the earth.
