Theatre Forum
Theatre Forum is the voice of the performing arts in Ireland. Membership is made up of all the theatre production companies and theatres, as well as multi-diciplinary arts centres and festivals nation-wide and some opera and dance companies. It includes local authority arts officers and freelance arts consultants amongst its affiliate members.
Formally established in 2002, its aim is to support, represent and develop the environment in which professionally-led performing arts are made.
Theatre Forum acts as an advocate on behalf of the sector, lobbying for improved funding and conditions. We also aim to build capacity among member organisations, and provide a means of exchanging information, sharing skills and networking.
We publish a regular newsletter, organise plenary meetings during the year on a variety of issues as well as an annual conference.
