Established in 1998 DOMESTIC VIOLENCE RESPONSE (DVR) GALWAY is a community-based organisation providing a support and information service, advocacy accompaniment, telephone support and educational support programmes to women impacted by domestic abuse. It also provides specialist training for professionals and services for specific client cohorts.

POSITION: MANAGING DIRECTOR

DVR is looking to employ a highly motivated, highly skilled and committed individual to manage and lead the DVR team in delivering excellent services to survivors of domestic abuse who reside in Galway City and County. The post-holder will:

  • Continue the development and implementation of the systems and infrastructure required to ensure the effective management, financial sustainability and operation of DVR, in accordance with the values and strategic direction of the organisation.
  • Work to ensure the effective management and operation of DVR services in accordance with the principles of good governance.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: The post-holder will report to the Board of Directors of DVR.

TYPE OF CONTRACT: 21 hours per week permanent contract subject to funding. (Flexible Hours)

REMUNERATION: €60,000 pro rata.

The post is based on site in DVR premises: Commerce House, Moycullen, Co. Galway.
