Mitzi Care Services are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Social Care Manager to join our team and lead our children’s residential service for 16-18 year olds. As a Social Care Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to children in need of a safe and nurturing environment. Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and Standards.
- Provide strong leadership and management to a team of social care workers and leaders.
- Over see the development and implementation of care plans, ensuring they meet the individual needs of each child
- Support and guide the team in delivering person-centred care and support.
- Promote a culture of respect, empathy, and inclusion within the residential service.
- Collaborate with external agencies, families, and professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for children.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of care practices and implement improvements when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records, including assessments, progress reports, and incident reports.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Qualifications:
- Degree in Social Work, Social Care, or a related field (or equivalent qualification)
- Three or more years’ experience working in a children’s residential service including experience in a key working role.
- Sound knowledge of child development, trauma-informed care, and safeguarding procedures
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
