Social Care Workers (SCW) Mainstream Children’s Residential Service

Streetline is a charity/voluntary organisation that has been providing medium- to long-term Children’s Residential Care as well as Aftercare to young people for over 30 years. Streetline’s Children’s Residential Care Project (caters for young people aged 13 to 18 years of age) is based on the North Circular Road in Dublin 1, staffed by a Social Care Manager (SCM) and team of trained and experienced Social Care Workers. We work as a team from a multidisciplinary approach with our young people and families to provide person-centred care. We follow a trauma-informed Model of Care.

We are inviting applicants for our Social Care Manager position who meet the following criteria:

  • Have worked 4+ years full-time as Social Care Leader (SCL) in a mainstream Children’s Residential Service (CRS) PLUS have at least 3 years’ full-time mainstream CRS experience at social care worker grade OR
  • Are already working as an SCM in a mainstream CRS and have worked 3 years as an SCL, PLUS have at least 3 years’ full-time mainstream CRS experience at social care worker grade.
  • A Full Driver's Licence.

Applicants for our Social Care Worker position(s) should, ideally, have some experience of mainstream children’s residential care and meet the following criteria:

  • A CORU recognised degree in Social Care (minimum NFQ Level 7) or be already registered with CORU as a SCW.
  • A Full Driver's Licence is desirable.

All applicants should have started the process or be eligible to register with CORU as social care workers.

Social Care Manager starting salary: €63,350, 27 days’ holidays per year.

Social Care Worker starting salary: €36,945 plus approximately €10,000 unsocial hours payments annually.

Positions/grades/salaries are contingent on Tusla funding.
