Part Time Mediation Coordinator

Community Law & Mediation is recruiting a part time Mediation Coordinator for its Mediation Service. This is a unique and exciting opportunity for someone seeking experience in one of the leading community mediation centres in Ireland.

The hours are three, half days per week (10.5 hours) and CLM is open to flexibility on how these hours are worked. This is a fixed term contract of 12 months duration with an immediate start.

About CLM

Community Law & Mediation (CLM) is a community based, independent law centre and charity providing services nationwide and operating in two locations: Dublin and Limerick. It was founded in 1975 and assists almost 6,000 people/issues annually through its services, which include free legal advice and representation; information and education; and mediation and conflict coaching. CLM also campaigns for law reform, and for the safeguarding of rights already enshrined in law.

CLM’s Mediation Service was established in 2004 to address the need in the community for an alternative dispute resolution process to the legal system, which can be expensive, protracted, and difficult to access.

CLM also offers Conflict Coaching, a structured, one to one service which aims to help parties develop the necessary skills to effectively engage in the mediation process.

While CLM has a national remit, the majority of the parties are based in Dublin, Wicklow and Limerick. CLM provides mediation in relation to family, community and workplace disputes.
