Donnycarney Addiction Team is part of Donnycarney Youth Project (DYP). DYP is a thriving community service with an addiction team that provides a number of supports for people who are experiencing problems because of their substance use/gambling. As part of our wrap around service we also provide services to their family members.
We are recruiting for a Community Employment Supervisor for our Drug Rehabilitation Day Programme
JOB TITLE: Community Employment Supervisor
SALARY: DSP Community Employment Supervisor Rate starting on point 1 (€658.80 per week) for a 39-hour weekly contract across Monday - Friday
REPORTING TO: Overall Service Manager and Addiction/Family Service Team Leader
ROLE:
- The role of the Community Employment Supervisor is to support people recovering from substance use to develop their personal, social and education/work related skills to enable them progress towards full participation within their community, recovery and working life
PURPOSE:
- To ensure the effective and efficient management, co-ordination and delivery of the organisations CE Drug Rehabilitation Programme
- To work in conjunction with the Addiction Team to support the CE Participants implementing their care plans and individual learner plan (ILP)
ESSENTIAL:
- Minimum Level 6 qualification, previous admin/CE supervisor experience.
- Have knowledge of addiction related issues and their effect on individuals
- Ability to work closely with other teams within DYP including the Finance Administrator
- Ability and initiative to work with participants to develop long term career and progression plans
- Knowledge of bridging the gap between community employment to education, training and employment
- Excellent communications skills both written and verbal
- Administration capacity to discharge the functions of the post
- The post holder must be personally motivated and be able to work on their own initiative and as part of a team.
DESIRABLE:
- A full, clean drivers’ licence and access to a vehicle
