Bantry & Dunmanway School Completion Programme (BDSCP) works in the 3 post – primary schools in the towns of Bantry, Dunmanway & Skibbereen, and also in 3 rural primary schools. The BDSCP Management Committee invites applications for the position of a Temporary Project Worker. While the number of hours and duration of the position will be subject to funding, it is hoped to offer a fulltime post, ie. 35 hours per week, aiming at commencing in September 2024 and ending in May 2025. The BDSCP Management Committee may consider an extension to this contract duration depending on circumstances. This is a fixed term/purpose contract with the expected base to be in Skibbereen.

A panel may also be established for additional posts that may arise during the year.

The primary objective of this position is to engage with a target group of children and young people who have been identified as being at risk of early school leaving, supporting them to productively participate in their education and thereby maximise their potential.
